Joan’s home and studio, Creekside Studio, are located on a scenic acreage in the Qualicum Beach area of Vancouver Island.
She has been awarded the following designations: “Premier Pastelist” (PPC, 2005), Pastel Society of Canada; “Associate Status” (AFCA, 2003), Federation of Canadian Artists; “Associate Status” (AAEA, 2002) American Academy of Equine Artists; and, Joan is a long time member of the Equine Art Guild.
Having received multiple awards, Joan has been recognized by the Federation of Canadian Artists.
